While creating a post you will find two options below the Create Post text box "Share As Text" and "Share As Media".
"Share as Text" option lets you share your post in the text format as a native post you are creating for a social media network.
"Share As Media" option allows you to share the post as an image post or video post by uploading it from your computer or is really handy if you want to share a link as an image directly from the web.
What does the "Share As Text" option do?
If you want to create a text post and share a URL in that post, clicking on the Share As Text option you will be able to see a preview of your link below and can also edit the meta data if you want to.
It will be shared like a native post with URL, you are sharing on your social profiles like this:
And by clicking on this post you will be led to the link you have added in the post.
What does the "Share As Media" option do?
- Create an image/video post instead of a text post using a link from the web.
- Create an image/video post uploading it from your computer.
1. Create an image/video post instead of a text post using a link from the web.
It will be shared as an image posted on your social media networks with its post description like this:
And by clicking on the image it will be shown like this:
The same goes for a video link you have shared in your post.
2. Create an image/video post uploading it from your computer.
While creating a media post uploading from your computer you just need to select "Share as Media" option and click on the Upload Image/Video button from the preview section.
Your image/video post will look like you have done a native post only, to your social media accounts.
So this is the difference between "Share As Text" and "Share As Media" options while creating a post.
